The Global Maniac collects the craziest, boldest and most unbelievable things real people have done, from every corner of the globe. Some of them are inspiring, some are baffling, and a few are simply ridiculous. All of them actually happened.

How we work

Every story is researched from published sources: news reports, interviews, books, record bodies and the people involved. When a detail is disputed, we say so. When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change.

Please do not try this at home

Many of the people we write about trained for years, had expert teams behind them, and still risked their lives. We tell their stories to celebrate what humans can do, not as instructions.
